The Aurora Womens Fitness Community Came Together for Ava Rose

The Ava Rose Fundraiser was a resounding success! A grand total of $15,140 was raised, $12,640 over our goal of $2,500!
- Aurora Community donations and sponsorships- $12,214
- Joy Chen’s Running Team - $515
- The infamous Water Bottle- $557
- Bake Sale- $297
- Tricky Tray- $1,005
- Aurora committed $10 for each new member between October 1 and November 19 - $460 + Café Sophia proceeds on November 19 -$92 = $552
Watching our fitness community come together in support of this cause was amazing. We even received some much deserved news coverage for this amazing cause. Check out the video here.
We would like to thank everyone in our community who made this success possible. In particular we would like to thank Lisandra Delgado for being the driving force behind the planning for this event, Joy Chen for dedicating her participation in the Philadelphia half-marathon to support Ava Rose, Judy Bozza and Olimpia Zarro for running the bake sale, Sarah Sturges for photographing the event, and the whole Aurora Team for their time and dedication to making this a success.
We are so proud of everyone for coming together to show the world what our community is all about. Being part of our Community means that none of us are ever alone and never have to be. This community pulled together to help Ava and her family fight leukemia and it was a powerful and amazing experience for all of us.
