My name is Daniela and I am 23 years old.  My family is originally from Colombia South America but I was born right here in Hackensack.  The Province of Armenia in Colombia is so beautiful, I try to get back to visit my family there every six years or so.  Prior to becoming a member of the Aurora Community I was very shy but in the past year or so my confidence has increased tremendously.  I am currently attending Kean University pursuing a degree Special Education. When I was younger I wanted to be a Veterinarian however as I got older I was not so sure about my future career choice; once I graduated high school I began working in a day care center and fell in love with children. My then employer suggested that I major in early childhood education because he thought I was very good with children and I have a lot of patience. I worked with children for four years but wanted to try something new in life and at the suggestion of my friend Heather I applied for work at Aurora Womens Fitness, beginning in child care and then the front desk.  I'm so happy I did because I received an opportunity to train to be part of the RPM Team.  It was a big step (actually a leap) for me because I was never into sports of any kind; I actually started focusing on being healthy and fit when I became part of the Aurora Womens Fitness Community.  My goal in life is to become a really great teacher – as an educator so that I can help children grow,  learn, and experience new things; and as an RPM teacher so that I can encourage and coach women to embrace the fitness lifestyle.  I never imaged myself coaching others to be fit and strong until Aurora; it changed my life and the way I think, it made me believe in myself and now I am sure that we can accomplish really great things if we set our minds to it.
